Javapinnarna är helt unika. De är gjorda av äkta kaffeträd och kommer ursprungligen från Indonesien.
Det väljs ut ett träd på hundra i plantagerna, som har rätt mått och utseende. Alla träd passar inte som fågelträd. De avbarkas, tvättas, slipas för hand och slutligen "bakas" i ugn. Hela processen tar ca två månader. Det ligger mycket arbete bakom, för att få färdigt dessa underbara pinnar.

Enligt Världsnaturfonden (WWF) avverkas 80% av de Indonesiska skogarna.
Så vi var ju tvungna att ställa oss frågan: Hur är det med Javapinnarna?
För Leksaksholken är det självklart att inte stödja någon form av skogskövling.

Vi tog kontakt med grossisten som säljer Javaprodukterna och frågade hur det ligger till.
De hade redan i sin tur kollat med sin säljare i Indonesien.

Is it FSC certified? Please provide full details of all parties in your raw
material supply chain. This means that for the forest source and all the
middlemen / wood traders / sawmillers involved in the chain up to the point
where the wood arrives at your factory, please indicate who buys from who
and give their name, address and COC number if they are COC certified.
This wood does not need FSC certification. Our main supplier is local
village neighbour. Details: Moch Hosen, Jalan Mustofa No. 27, Suren,

Do your suppliers implement a Wood Control System to exclude illegal wood?
Yes

If your wood comes from a non-FSC certified forest, are the forest managers
working through a recognised program, e.g. with the TFT or another service
provider, to achieve FSC certification?

Please supply a full set document to verify that the wood used has been
legally harvested and to verify it's origin. Documents should include
harvesting licences, log lists from the forest indicating the specific
forest location where the wood was harvested.
